New Zealand Artist based in Wellington
Amanda grew up in a family of architects and was originally an industrial designer, so it's no surprise that the central theme in her work is three dimensional form. Even when working in two dimensions, she loves playing with perceptions of volume and shadow, crispness and contrast, and geometry that alludes to sometimes impossible forms. She really loves shadow, and likes to incorporate it into her work.
From a distance her work is precise, but look closely and you’ll see evidence of meticulous hand work - it’s a deliberate balancing of craft and her ever-present ‘inner control freak’!
Amanda lives and works in Wellington.
