There's never been a better time to create your own artist website and online store.​ We offer two highly supported options for you and you can try them out with no obligation and no cost.

If you don't have the skills to design and build your own website, we have a fully designed option ready for you. This is also a great option if you'd like to get your website up and running immediately.

Design and build your own website

In addition to supporting NZ artists with profiles in our Artist Directory, we're here to help artists create their own websites. There are lots of platforms out there that enable artists to set up their own site, but these usually offer little or no support.

If you choose to create your own website with us, you will receive the following:
  • Access to an easy-to-use drag-and-drop website editor.
  • No fees while you build or design your site, and no obligation to continue to a paid plan if you decide not to go ahead with the website.
  • One-on-one support from our friendly design team based right here in New Zealand. Support is available either online or by phone and if you get stuck, they can even jump online and show you what you need to do.
  • Unlimited pages and a huge range of design templates and options so you can create a website that's both highly individual and meets your exact requirements.
  • The ability to add site members and an online store to sell your creations.​​

Pricing

We know that setting up a website can be a big (and sometimes scary) commitment. To make things easier, you can try out our service with no obligation and no cost to see if it's right for you.

Whether you choose a pre-designed website or decide to build your own, there is no cost to set your website up. You can create it, show it to your friends, get advice, upload your artwork and see how it feels for free. If you decide that it is the right option for you, you can choose one of our monthly plans (below) and then you'll be ready to take the site online.

Standard Plan

All the tools you need to build your website, plus up to 25 products in an online store. This price includes your own domain name.
Regular Price: $39/month +GST

Unlimited Plan

All the tools you need to build your website, plus unlimited products in an online store. This price includes your own domain name.

frequently asked questions
There are other services out there that allow me to set up my own website. Why should I choose to work with NZ Art Cloud?
You're right! There are lots of different options, and you should certainly shop around and choose the one that suits you best. The main benefit of choosing to work with us is the fact that we provide a balance between do-it-yourself and support. Because you're building the site yourself, you don't have the big up-front cost commonly associated with setting up a website, but we're also here to support you as you need it. Members are able to book free one-on-one appointments where we can answer your questions and help you out if you get stuck. This can be useful if you're wanting to build your site and then have an expert look over it and give you some feedback before you get it online. With NZ Art Cloud, there are no extra costs for this help. We're also  based right here in NZ, and we specialise in working with Artists and Creative People, so you'll know that when you reach out to us you'll reach a real person located in your time zone who is focused on providing good, old fashioned customer service, Kiwi style.

Am I being locked into a contract?
No. When you create a website with us, you can cancel your plan at any time. You can take as long as you need to build your site and/or upload your artwork, and will have no costs during this time. Once your site is ready to go online you choose one of our plans and we'll flick the switch so the world can see your new creation. You can still edit your site once it is online.  If at any point you want to take your site offline, all you need to do is contact us, and we'll switch it off again. When it's switched off, you can continue editing and changing the site. When you're ready to go online again, you simply reach out to us and we'll switch it back on. There are no limits to how often or when you turn your site on and off, and you only pay for the months in which you have your site online.

Are there any hidden costs?
No. The monthly price for the plan is all-inclusive. It covers the cost of keeping your site online, access to the website editor, and your ".nz" or ".co.nz" domain name.

What is a domain name?
A domain name is the specific individual URL (address) for your site. For example, nzart.cloud is our domain name. Having your own domain name means it is 100% individual to you. For example, johnsmithart.co.nz. ".nz" or ".co.nz" domain names are included in the plan pricing. If you're after a premium domain (e.g. ".studio", there may be additional charges). When you're choosing your domain name, we suggest you come up with a few different options, as sometimes your first choice may not be available. You can contact us if you'd like to find out if a domain name is available.

Is the website builder easy to use?
Everyone has a different level of understanding and skills when it comes to building a website. The editor that we provide is pretty much as simple as it gets whilst still giving you a range of design options. You don't need any coding knowledge because the builder is a "what you see is what you get" platform. This means you are editing the website as it would appear online, which makes things much easier. It's worth noting that this site was created 100% using the same editor, so anything that we can do here, you could do on your own website.

As with anything, it takes a bit of time to learn how to use the editor when you first get started, but don't forget that we're here to help if you need it! If you're feeling unsure, we suggest giving it a go. There's no cost to try it out.

How many pages can my website have?
There is no limit to the number of pages or the size of your website if you choose to design it yourself. If you choose the pre-designed option, you'll get a homepage, about page, contact page, a blog, and your online store.

Will you teach me how to use the editor?
We'll help you to get started, and if you're a member we invite you to book one-on-one appointments if you need extra help along the way. In addition to this, we run online website building workshops for members periodically throughout the year. Keep an eye on the membership dashboard and our members' newsletter for information about when these will be. Our website building workshops consist of a series of live online classes where a tutor will guide you through the process of creating a site and can answer your questions.

What if I'm not a member? Can I still get help?
If you're not a collective member, we can still help you out. However, priority support is given to our collective members. Memberships aren't expensive, so if you're setting up a website, we strongly recommend that you consider becoming a collective member.

Once I've created a website, can I move it to another provider?
Yes and no. This is quite a complex situation. Once your site is created, it is possible to download a version of the site which could be used to rebuild it in another platform, but because all platforms and website service providers are different, it's not as simple as "moving it" from one place to another. You'll save a great deal of money and time if you choose the right provider from the beginning and stick with them.
